Clean Hard Toilet Rings!

Where we live we have pretty bad hard water. Our toilets had hard rings around them when we moved in. I tried to clean them with regular toilet cleaners and it did nothing. There is nothing worse than going into a guest bathroom and having it be filthly. Cleaning hard water stains are easy, it just takes a few extra steps. For everyday cleaning I recommend keeping a Clorox ToiletWand in every bathroom. Those disposable scrubbers are miracle workers for dirty toilets. But here is what you need to clean the impossible hard toilet rings:

  • Clorox ToiletWand
  • Pumice Stone (Walmart or home depot)
  • Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel
  • Rubber Cleaning Gloves

First step is to use your handy Clorox Wand to clean your toilet. This will get any stains or gunk off before you go in with the stone.

Now you can go in with your pumice stone. Make sure you wear your gloves! Scrub your toilet hard, don’t worry about scratching it. The pumice stone will start to disintegrate and you’ll see gray specs all over. Keep scrubbing anything you need to get off. Scrub over the ring a few times then flush the toilet and look to see if you missed a spot. I like to go over the ring again just to make sure I got everything off.

TADA! Look how clean that toilet looks now! It’s restored back to your porcelain throne. To finish it off and keep the toilet clean through use I stick on a Scrubbing Bubbles toilet gel. These little jelly things are so cool and every time you flush your bathroom will be filled with great smells. All of these things help make life a little bit easier when it comes to keeping bathrooms clean. We all could use that, especially since I doubt any of us actually enjoy cleaning a nasty toilet.

Just make sure your toddlers dont know how to use the Clorox Wand! Audrey watched me clean the toilet once and since then it’s been impossible to keep her away from them. She loves to use them to clean the toilet, except she uses ALL OF THEM! She clogged our toilet because she then leaves them in there and tries to flush them down. Every time she goes to time out I giggle a little. Just the thought that I had to put her in time out for cleaning the bathroom makes me laugh haha!
